TEME: ISLAMIC LAWS
Islamic law, commonly called syara law, is divided
into five:
a. Required.
That is the order that must be done. if the command
is done gets merit, and if it is left sinful.
The obligation or fardhu is divided into two parts:
1. Mandatory ‘Ain
That is mandatory that must be done by every person
who converts.
Such as praying five times a day, fasting the month
of Ramadan, and so on.
2. Mandatory Kifayah
Namely, the command is sufficient if it has been
done by some of the believers. And it's a total sin if no one does it.
b. Sunnah, namely; a case which if done gets
reward, and if not done does not sin.
The Sunnah is divided into two:
1. Sunnah Muakad, the sunnah that is highly
recommended to do it. Such as Terawih prayer, Eid al-Fitr prayer, Eid al-Adha
prayer and so on.
2. Sunnah ghair Muakad, which is ordinary sunnah.
c. Haram
Namely, a case that if left to get a reward, and if
done get sin. Like adultery, stealing, killing, getting drunk, and so on.
d. .makruh, which is a case that if it is done is
not sinful, and if it is left it gets a reward. As; eat smelly food (jengkol
petai, etc.)
e. Mubah, which is a case which if done does not
receive merit, and if left without sin. Like eating, drinking, sleeping and so
on.
